Coria Law was founded in 2011 by Susano Coria.
We are a Plaintiffs’ Personal Injury Law Office based in Southern California. Our firm has grown out of our passion for helping victims of personal injury cases, which shows in the way we handle every individual case. Our highly trained staff is experienced and focuses on the details of every case we take on.
At Coria Law we are on a contingency fee arrangement basis. This means we take cases at no charge and collect the fee as a percentage of any settlement or judgment that we obtain from the case. Thus, if you get nothing from the case, neither does the attorney.
The attorney obtains 33% of the settlement from a case. If the case goes into litigation, the attorney will obtain 40-45% of the settlement.
Car accidents, motorcycle accidents, bicycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, hit and run, slip and fall, premises liability, and dog bites are all types of incidents Coria Law assists with.
The time that it takes to settle a case can vary dramatically. A case that involves substantial injuries and a significant amount of money will take longer to settle because the insurer will fight harder over it. If the case is complex or liability is unclear, a settlement also may take longer to reach as ligation will become an option. Hiring an attorney sometimes can motivate an insurer to make a fair offer earlier in the process, since they know that they are less likely to take advantage of you.
On average, a case at Coria Law takes a minimum of one year.
To get started, we will ask for certain basic information in all cases such as your: name, phone number, email address, physical address, a chronology of relevant facts giving rise to your matter, physical injuries, lists of potential witnesses, photographs or video evidence, and all important documents.
